Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet
With opportunities elsewhere, OC Kyle Shanahan has decided to head to the #Falcons, presuming they hire Dan Quinn. Balt & Den had interest

Aaron Wilson ‏@RavensInsider
With Gary Kubiak accepting the Broncos' job, via a four-year contract, per sources, Ravens likely lose Rick Dennison, Brian Pariani as well

I'm hearing names like Kyle Shanahan (although he seems headed for Atl), Adam Gase, Juan Castillo, Trestman..

Promoting Juan Castillo would be such a Harbaugh thing to do. Assuming Kyle Shanahan goes to Atl (which would be a good opportunity for him to eventually become HC somewhere), I could totally see Castillo being promoted. It's exactly the kind of boring, disappointing thing that almost happened last year with whoever the hell it was Harbs wanted to promote before Steve said fuck no and got Kubiak.

I would take Shanahan, Gase, or Trestman without complaint. Probably won't happen though. Gase might get a HC gig, Shanahan has better offers elsewhere, and last I heard Trestman was mentioned by name a few times (by Rex Ryan and one other HC IIRC; Todd Bowles?).

#Broncos OC Adam Gase is expected to land in either Jacksonville or Baltimore, source said. #Ravens plan to interview him soon.

Will he be able to continue doing what worked for us under Kubiak or will we once again see a completely different game plan offensively?

Don't know how i feel about hiring Gase potentially, no doubt that he's a good OC, but he'll be looking for a HC position after next season.

It's hard to know how much of the Broncos' success was Gase and how much was Peyton, but what I do know is that Gase is a pretty smart guy who is good at studying the other team's defensive adjustments and exposing mismatches. The only thing I don't like about Gase is that he tends to run a man-blocking scheme, and his running game wasn't very good until the last few weeks of the season. Ideally I want someone who will continue the ZBS, since I think Monroe and especially Zuttah are built for zone-blocking. KO, Yanda, and Wagner are good in man or zone. As you said, Gase may just be looking for a door-step that leads him to a HC gig, so there is that concern too.

I think Trestman would be a better fit as an OC, since he does run a true ZBS. He had a good year with McCown, and long before that, was the OC for the Raiders back then Gannon was winning playoff games. Plus Trestman may not have any more HC aspirations.

Both Trestman and Gase seem to be OC's who are prone to abandoning the run prematurely, at least from what I've seen.

/last I read, Harbaugh has Gase and then Trestman as his top-2 OC targets
