We should promote Spags to DC IMO. They would have no ground to do so, though, as Pees cobbled the D together this year (sort of), and it would be a major fuck you if they did that.

Hopefully we can get something done in the secondary. I actually like the way Pees plays up front when he chooses to blitz, so maybe not having high school corners next year will pay off.

If Kubiak takes the Denver gig I'm just gonna' start drinking now and not stop until we're eliminated from playoff contention next year.

I was thinking this too. He probably knew a job was opening up in Denver days or even weeks before we all did, and he made his statement about staying here during that timeframe, just before Fox left.

Exactly, but it made me think twice about it when Denver requested to interview him, you'd think that he'd spoken with Elway and told him that he wouldn't be interested, no?

Not necessarily. It kind of depends on whether Peyton plays another year or not.

Kubiak loves Denver and Elway, our only hope is that Doug Marrone knocks their socks off in Denver and they go with him over Kubiak as i see it.

If Peyton stays I seriously think they promote Gase. Peyton is married to the guy and Kubiak doesn't run anything even close to a Manning friendly system (of the Peyton variety anyway).

Kubiak played in Denver for many years
Kubiak is very good friends with Elway
Kubiak may have wanted to be a HC again, he just didn't like any of the jobs available.

It seems like he would go there because he wants to build a good team for the years to come, not because Peyton is there.

They have a QB with similar attributes to Flacco in Brock Osweiler, so it's not like Peyton is the end-all be-all. Peyton will be around for one more year at most.

On the rare occasions I try to think positively, you're usually not far away, ready to shit on my sunshine.
