I think we may all need a hug before this offseason is over. It's such a perfect fit: HC experience, former team, former teammate as GM.

If Kubiak does leave (and assuming he takes with him all of his assistant coaches), I would like for the organization to maybe look into Kyle Shanahan, who has a similar offensive philosophy.

Mike Shanahan is also out there, so maybe Elway will look to him instead if Kubiak says he's not interested, instead of pressing Kubiak until he says yes.

We should promote Spags to DC IMO. They would have no ground to do so, though, as Pees cobbled the D together this year (sort of), and it would be a major fuck you if they did that.

Hopefully we can get something done in the secondary. I actually like the way Pees plays up front when he chooses to blitz, so maybe not having high school corners next year will pay off.

If Kubiak takes the Denver gig I'm just gonna' start drinking now and not stop until we're eliminated from playoff contention next year.

I keep telling myself that there's plenty of reasons for Kubiak to stay.
He's in the proces of building a new home close to the training facilities.
You'd think that he was aware of the Denver situation when he made his intend of staying known publicly.
His health might still be a factor, has a lot less stress in his current position.

But it still worries the shit out of me that nothing has come out about him staying (again) yet.

I was thinking this too. He probably knew a job was opening up in Denver days or even weeks before we all did, and he made his statement about staying here during that timeframe, just before Fox left.
