Looks like we're locked in at the #26 overall pick. Carolina is the only team that can be ahead of us out of the remaining teams, while everyone else had more wins.

Lol, you guys had that one good play with the ineligible receiver. The rest was nothing special. Even the WR pass has been run a zillion times in college and in the pros, especially by Sanu.

Anyone can complete underneath routes vs Dean Pees defense. His CBs play 10 yards off every snap; he's giving you the underneath stuff to avoid the big play because our CBs are so bad. It's the same thing they did in previous years, leaving Cary Williams especially badly burned in 2012. Rashaan Melvin looked like Cary Williams today in the 2nd half, I felt bad for him.

Gotta give you guys credit, lots of people crying about those 3 plays with the ineligible and saying the pats are cheating again etc etc, even Harbaugh said something about it.
Yet I haven't heard any raven fans bitching.. cool fan base that rarely makes excuses, GL next season I'm sure we'll be seeing you again.

Bears prepared to make a major push for Ravens OC Gary Kubiak, per source. Kubiak now free to talk with teams about HC vacancies.

Seems like it'll come down to wether Kubiak is satisfied with being an OC or if he'll want to HC again

Jimmy Johnson just said it's been around for years and is perfectly legal, even he joked (on fox pregame for packers/cowboys) that he's seen it since his high school football days...

i'm actually surprised no ravens fans (on here) were bitching about it. gg

Even though it won't happen, at least we can dream a little, right?

Seems like Jim Schwartz is out the door in Bills, would you guys take him over DP as DC?

I think part of the problem is that Pees was given a terrible secondary. Everyone wants a Rex Ryan/Todd Bowles, who blitz with reckless abandon, play lots of man coverage, and run a sort of organized chaos. Pees system gives you underneath stuff all day with the idea that the opposing QB will not be able to hit all of those receivers every time to sustain a drive (obviously a good QB can do this, though).

Pees system can work, you just need a lot of talent on defense to run it, especially in the secondary, where you need CBs who can play the ball and break fast toward the ball when thrown. A lot of the guys we've had don't play the ball; they watch and react to the receiver. This is what Melvin did yesterday, and what Chykie Brown, Dominique Franks, Cary Williams, and nearly every other scrub we have does. Lets face it: few DCs would have succeeded with this secondary. Given this, I think you can expect Pees to be back for at least one more year.

Who the fuck plays 10 yards off when all they can do it a short pass on us. That's fucking stupid.

How much more do you guys think Cobb will cost a team than Torrey?

Cobb will probably get about 8-9 mil/year and almost half of that guaranteed, that's my guess.

Torrey shouldn't command a whole lot, and will probably play here for less because this is where he has always lived. Probably under 5 mil/year.

You can compare contracts for each position at overthecap.com

There are going to be a lot of good FA WRs and even more WRs in the draft. The supply of good WRs is increasing, so I'd be bearish on the cost of WRs in the future market of the NFL.

Thank you, yea i noticed that there was a lot of good WRs becoming FAs, was just wondering how you guys thought those 2 would end up compared to each other contract wise.

Rosenhaus doesn't believe in hometown discounts.

I think that Torrey will test FA before signing with the Ravens. Once he sees what he is worth, he will come back to the Ravens, even if it's for slightly less.
