Patriots are a damn good team i have no shame in losing to them...

But to end on a pick...Fuck man. Going to be endless Joe Flacco threads bumped hurtfully lol

Was a good year though. Made it two games farther than i ever though possible.

Not from fans of teams who don't have a good quarterback. For example, I'd never say anything bad about Joe Flacco. He's elite in my eyes. A Super bowl champion and could have been a two-time Super Bowl champion if a couple more breaks went your way today. I'd have liked Baltimore's chances to go all the way if they had won today. You lost to the greatest or second greatest, maybe third greatest quarterback of our generation.

This made me lol because I recall a couple of his pep talks and can see how a white guy might be left wanting a little more:

I don't understand why he didn't play for the ball? He knew where it was, and could have easily knocked it down...

He just gave up and shoved the DB. I didn't mind the fouls 'cause I think Torrey could use to be more physical, but that INT could have EASILY been broken up.

The DB might have made a great catch but comon' man, you gotta' at least try...

Torrey has had a problem with that before. I specifically remember a similar play on a deep ball vs Atl, where Torrey did nothing to help stop the INT. That's one reason why he will only ever be a #2: no fight for the ball.

Still, though, Flacco should never make that throw: safety over the top, CB underneath. That's football 101. There will probably be more "lolFlacco" than you can shake a stick at, but few QBs would have even had us in the game until that point in the first place.

Time to start scouting CBs and WRs

Decent season all in all. Disappointed in the regular season, but eliminating the Steelers in the playoffs was so sweet.

Probably only going to look at 1st and 2nd day prospects

Some Jaelen Strong, Kevin White, Agholor, Greenberry, and maybe Funchess first.

Don't know which corners I want to look at besides Waynes and Collins

Absolutely do NOT want Funchess, regardless of whether it's as a WR or TE. Do not want a guy who struggles to catch simple passes as he does. He also seems to struggle more than he should against solo coverage from smaller DBs.

Also not high on Agholor. Maybe it's the stigma that comes with being a #1 at USC, but he just doesn't have impressive hands when I watched him. Great after the catch, but we need a reliable chain-mover.

Parker > Cooper > White > Strong imo. The rest is kind of a toss-up, although I anticipate Coates and maybe even Diggs lighting up the combine. Parker is the best fit for what we need, but Strong is a very fair compromise if he's there for us.

I wish draftbreakdown didn't have only HD videos now. My shitty internet takes forever to load it -_-

Honestly i'm going to focus a lot on FAs right now, then start my process of 'scouting' players in the draft when we get to march.

For now i might actually just worry about some of our own FAs, there's so many big decisions to be made:
Keep Will Hill?
How much will Forsett get?
Will we be able to strike a deal with Torrey or will he test the market?
Are we able to sign McPhee to an extension?
Does Owen Daniels / Dennis Pitta hang up their cleats?

Also Tucker and Aiken are RFAs

Also interesting to see if Ngata is going to take a pay cut and extend his contract.
Will Webb be there next season? (Don't know how cutting him would affect our cap, nor have any idea about his cap hit)
Are Yanda going to take another team friendly deal?

Not sure about Hill, but I think they get him back. His drug history will keep prices reasonable, plus lets be real: he is good, but not like top-10 at his position or anything. The need for FS is dire. (I thought I read before Hill was a RFA, but I guess not)
Forsett probably won't get that much money, considering his age and the stigma of being a Kubiak system RB.
McPhee will follow Redding/Kruger/Ellerbe/Jones as our next big gift to NFL free-agency
Pitta said he was going to try to come back, meaning his signing bonus will at least be spread out across 2 years rather than 1. OD will probably sign for cheap if they want him back.
I think Ngata might actually be back. His suspension hurt what he will command, he has an knack for accruing nagging injuries, and he's getting older. Plus he has been a Raven his whole life.
Webb will be back. The need at CB is bad enough, and they would only save 2 mil by cutting him.
Yanda could be extended. He took a team-friendly deal back when him and Grubbs were FAs. He'll probably do it again.

I'm hoping they sign someone who will beat Bernard Pierce and Matt Elam out for a roster spot over next year's training camp.

anyway, sorry for the tldr, but this was a nice vent for me :)

Hill is a RFA; just forgot to put it in there :)

I actually enjoy reading you guys thoughts on here, gives me something to speculate over and puts some interesting views into perspective, unfortunately there isn't a lot of positive debate about NFL here in Denmark, mostly just ''this dude is better than that dude, but they're both badass''

I hope he becomes a Dick Lebeau-type and just accepts being a really good HC

love him or hate him, Dean Pees is the same way.

REALLY hope Monroe is playing... going to have a bad time if he's out

Now that I read that Lebeau is leaving Pitt, I have to laugh at this a bit lol

also watching Melvin get picked on that final drive while playing 10 yards off every snap was like watching Cary Williams back in 2012 vs Brady

Parker's my favorite but I don't think he makes it to our pick.

I don't like Funchess really either but that's mostly from things I've heard, I haven't watched him yet.

To be honest, the person I want most is probably DGB and I've wanted him on this team since his senior year. At this point his combine is probably going to make or break his stock and he's going to crush it.

Thanks for reminding me about draftbreakdown, I was really about to go and watch full games rofl
