Brady’s still playing championship football. Sign him.

He sold his Boston house and bought a house in CT. So that doesn’t scream much

I don't know if I'd say he's playing "championship football". He's still better than most the guys out there, certainly better than anyone available, but he's had some major flaws in his game over the past few years. I understand that the lack of good looks has made it seem more dramatic than it is, but his accuracy down the field is pretty inconsistent, he's missed plenty of wide-open throws and he's forced the ball into some stupidly risky situations these past few years, resulting in some terrible interceptions/returns.

Maybe a real deep threat would change all that, maybe he'd be a lot more comfortable and miss less obvious throws if we had people who could separate more consistently. I think it's fair to say his ability has taken some hits though and if the team feels it's time to move on, rather than sign a two-three year extension, I think we gotta accept a small rebuilding phase.

ee: said that already. I was realllllly high last night.

If Kraft and Belichick let this happen I will be a fan of whatever team he goes to until he retires

Damn... really man?

This is the type of shit we as NE fans have praised our team for over the past two decades. No matter how important you were to the team, it's always been "what have you done for me lately". It always fucking hurts when NE lets go of people that were staples of the team, but that's the MO of NE football and Brady should be no different. If rumors are to be believed with the whole Jimmy G/BB thing, they tried to do it earlier and after him throwing a pick 6 to finish the WC round, now Kraft might be on board.

I agree he isn't playing at GOAT level anymore but can we get the man some more weapons? He is still solid.

Sanu was a major flop ;/

Replacing Gronk with Harry is not the answer....it doesn't help that we lost the best blocking TE, our FB and C...3 of our best pass blockers.
Made no additions to the offense that could help overcome that.

Brady has a 13 million cap hit either way....get a deal done

Sanu has done well.

Wait until we have a full offseason with the guy before you judge him. I think we have big plans for him, we always ask a lot of our receivers and I think that's why our offense struggled so hard

precisely.

we can root for brady, of course, but look.. he has played poorly, even with how unfortunate this season was regarding personnel (ab/gordon/etc)

Come on.... how can you say he did well lol, the guy didn't do shit. He was a HUGE bust for us. That being said, it does take players usually a year minimum to learn how shit works in NE, before they start making a real impact. That could be the problem, but it still sucks losing how many weapons @ WR to bring in a guy who put up 200 yards....
