Rip can be that guy but we struggle on anything within 3 yards of the goal line...blount can clearly excel in that space with 18 or so touchdowns last year.
Picture rip laying down a hefty block and blount finishing it off.

Not surprising. He's really embraced the role apparently and we'll get one on Day 2 I'd imagine. I'm sure the practice squad rands will work their way onto the depth chart again too

I guess it just bother's me that we'd have literally the least experienced RB core in football. Aside from running there's important assignments with picking up blitz packages that requires repetition to recognize, which most here are aware of. I'm hopeful Rip is able to mature after the NFC championship, that had to be devastating, because if the trend continues for Tmoney, injuries could leave us stuck with Rip, johnson and whoever we draft in the backfield.

It is speculated that LaGarrette Blount has agreed to a 1-year deal with the Green Bay Packers via 5thtackle.com worth 3-4 million. Not sure the legitimacy of the claim but if true, this could be pretty big for us.

we are kind of sitting on more cap space at this point than i'm used to
might rage a little bit if we don't use any of it
assuming we're going to roll over like 10 million (cos ted just does that), have to sign rookies, and maybe have to bring in some guys to replace injured players later
we could still probably safely spend 6-8 million dollars here
