Dear god, who's last?!

That's a whole lot of depressing condensed into a few sentences.

At least C.J. Mosley will be fun to watch for the next decade.

I don't actually think Ozzie would tank a season, although he could, he did in 2002.

More likely, he keeps Webb through 2015 and uses him as the #3 or 4 CB, or maybe even try him at safety just to salvage some value out of him. Even if we draft/sign a CB, we still need depth at the position, and Webb would only save 2 mil if cut while opening yet more holes in our secondary.

Pitta sounded like he was going to try and rehab like we was playing next year. If he does end up retiring, he would become a post June 1 cut, meaning the cap hit would be spread out across 2015 and 2016. If he somehow recovers from his injury, then hooray!

Ngata is due to have a 16 mil cap hit, and we would save 8.5 mil if he was cut. Yanda is 8.5 cap hit and 5.5 mil to be saved. I think/hope both will be extended at a good price.

Canty and Koch will probably be cut. Each has a cap hit of about 3mil, and 2.5 mil to be saved. They could extend Koch, however.

I hope Pitta does us a solid and LEGITIMATELY analysis his ability to continue playing, regardless of the decision. If he chooses to retire (based on that hip, I wouldn't be surprised at all), do it soon and for good. That's a pretty cold way to look at his livelihood, but life is life. Feel bad for dude, will forever be a Raven. :(

I think Ngata and Yanda respectively will try to reworking things a bit for cap reasons. I think both of them want to stay in B-More. Stranger shit has happened and people and money is a touchy subject, but I think Ozzie will figure something out. Koch doesn't seem like a cap loss either; he likes the wolfpack too much.

I will be really sad if Yanda goes though. He's a nice direct Iowa --> Ravens connection, and It's pretty boss having two all pro guards from Iowa and Iowa State. B)

Yanda took the team-friendly deal back when him and Grubbs were both FAs. I don't think he'll be a problem tbh.

#Ravens DT Haloti Ngata has been suspended by the NFL for the next four games for violating its performance enhancing substances policy.

RIP season

.. Oh, and this was my initial thought as well:

Ravens already had a tricky decision looming with Ngata in 2015 given his age, injury history and big salary and cap #. This complicates it

Not sure if I would rather have Ngata appeal just so that he can play vs Miami, or just accept the suspension now and play in the first postseason game.

I guess it depends on whether or not you think he would be the difference between a W and a L vs Miami. Personally, I think we would be able to beat Miami w/o Ngata, so just accept the suspension now. We would need him against the Chiefs (if we won the division) or Colts (if we got the 2nd wildcard).

AFC North sending 3 if you guys beat Dolphins.

Edit: actually Chargers may sneak in. But I don't think Chiefs finish 2-2 at best

I don't think the Chiefs would miss out on a wildcard. They are going to beat the Steelers and probably get in while knocking them out of contention.
