I'm bought in completely on Antonio Brown, so many signs that point that this is going to work:
1. Belichick is really paying this man, the guaranteed money is there. If Bill didn't believe in him, he wouldn't be dishing out that kind of money for him. And we know Bill wanted him when the Steelers had him and even offered a first round pick for him. If Bill thinks that highly of him, you have to believe it will work.
2. Brady is all in on him which is huge of course. Between him telling Kraft he's a million percent in, to him literally offering to house Antonio while he gets settled, it's clear Brady wants this to work and he's going to do everything on his end. Love seeing that kind of leadership out of him. He never publicly says a lot of the stuff and a lot of it just ends up leaking because he wants to keep it on the low. Just like we found out way later that Brady had been taking Josh Gordon to dinner with him and Gisele and really helping him get on the right track.
3. They know what Antonio Brown can be but are still doing things the right way. What do I mean by that? Well Belichick said it best today by saying that the media said the same things about Moss when he came to the Patriots. That's about as blatant a comparison as you can get out of Bill. There's no denying that Brown has that type of talent but both Brady and Belichick know that it's not simply a plug and play and that Brown needs to buy into the system. Brady was saying how he's not buying into the hype and is all about work and how Brown is going to have to work hard too. Great job at setting the tone but still realizing what can be possible if that work is put in. It's not like the Raiders where they get Antonio Brown and he's literally their best player, the Patriots don't need him. He clearly wants to be here though.
Me too honestly.
We traded DT too so that also shows how confident Bill is in ABs ability to work within our system
Should be a beautiful ride men
Let's sit back and enjoy it
