I think 45 is still his number, he's said that all along.

Patriots weren't willing to do a 3 year extension so he settled on 2 on we'll see after this.

There's also the opt outs that are supposedly in this deal too.

Also this supposedly created $5.5M in cap space for this year, I wonder what Bill does with it.

They had $8,825,035 in cap space before the move, if this frees up $5.5M then they have $14,325,035... the cap hit for Trent Williams is $14,729,005. I'd assume the Patriots would give up a player to get him so theoretically it's possible.

Kind of hard to see the Patriots devoting that much money to a LT when you have two young potential options in Isaiah Wynn and Yodny Cajuste though.

Move Wynn for a year or two until Williams is our. I’m sure Hightower or McCourty could be restructured to free more cap space
