Lol, I have been talking about this since the Bills scored that LEGIT TOUCHDOWN in the 2019 playoffs vs. Texans. These refs covered in black came out and took the TD away. a year later the NFL confirmed that it should've been a legit TD. I just don't talk about it being rigged/scripted around too much cause it is def. to fragile for some male egos...anywhere.. and I get that...I love the game too. Just vegas odds, the videos you can watch, the players coming forward, the way they say its just for entertainment. Last night, I just, that last drive just seemed so blantly set up to me...as I watched... literally with no bias towards either team. lol so i made this stupid post. But it would be fun to talk to explore the rigging theory with this forum.
My theory is there is a phoneline given to elite billionaires or w/e they can call and try to buy games as it happens.
And/or its all Vegas, William Hill.. etc
The problem with the disgraced ref Donoghue is that he is a bad example. he was small time crook taking 5gs per game to change a couple calls. Thats why NBA and the major sports conglomerate wasn't too worried when that whole story came to light. Takes away pressure from the league itself and puts all owness on the crooked refs for example.
Theres always the offhanded comments like last year Goodell came out and straight said 'what a Hollywood ending' as his first words to the teams/crowd after the Rams SB game
shit a gwan
I dont buy that the players are in on it, at least almost all players aren't in on it.
This whole shit even goes back to Bobby Fischer, when they attempted to bring him into the upper echelon's of society he began learning things he couldn't understand. Thats partly why he went insane.. You can't just let a mans know the schtick and Bobby was a good example of needing to vet these types of people more. I think Brady gets the email or whatever it is that has the storyline but I definitely don't think each player or even like 5% of the players across all sports know the actual rig.
IN Football the refs are alreaady so engrained into the culture that the crowd is used to the refs fucking everything all the time and how important flags are in some scenarios so all the crowd has bought into the fact that the refs truly make all the decisions. They are trying to do that in basketball lately adding these extra 'features' that seemingly are good for the game but in reality just give the refs more tv time and more and more trying to make the refs a larger part of the basketball game with reviews under 2 min rule added and the glaring inconsistency with foul calls etc
