Justin Jefferson % of routes from the slot:

2021 - 31%
'22 Wk 1 - 30%
'22 Wk 2 - 54%*

*A clear effort to get him away from Darius Slay's coverage.

JJ had one 7-yd catch against Slay (17 routes, 6 targets)

He had a 5-41-0 receiving line on 29 rtes (6 tgt) against other Eagles

I feel this is more of prime-time cousins doing what cousins does, than anything else.

Fun fact: Bradberry and Slay are both top 5 this season in lowest passer rating allowed so far through two weeks.

The addition of James Bradberry is huge, to be a legit corner on the outside with Slay. Plus they're both tall corners at 6'0''+ with long arms. Combined with Maddox who already established himself as one of the better nickel corners in the league and we've got ourselves a nice group of corners that's for sure.

To be fair to Jefferson, the 6 "targets" were really more like 4 targets to Slay and 2 to JJ

Remember when ESPN released their top 10 CB list this off-season and Slay wasn't on it? Despite easily being a top 5 CB in the league last season?

Remember when Slay was snubbed from any All-Pro teams last season?

Darius Slay remembers.

he has been underrated his entire career, consistently overlooked during his time with the lions too.

ppl wrote him off after he gave up 200 yards on 100% completion percentage to dk. he's a good corner but struggles against size. dk melted him, kelvin benjamin had a career day against him too.
