Guy doesn’t seem that bright, he probably thought there was nothing wrong with it. An entire year seems a bit excessive to me for this offense, but I completely understand where the league is coming from and I don’t see them reducing it at all.

rules are rules, yea. but if all he did was place 1-3 parlay bets, including his team winning, not losing while hes playing. it doesnt do anything to diminish the intergrity of the game, he said he bet $1500. fine him a bunch of money and give him 4 games or something, isnt even set to just 2022 season, said hes suspended indefinetly, starting with 2022 season, could be longer. was a big offseason for him too

I think it's mainly about sending a message as gambling becomes more ubiquitous, as well as how gambling websites are becoming league sponsors.
