If it is in fact a Terrapin turtle, then I suppose I would shove my fist into your shell and extract your head from within.

Then proceed to whirl the body around by the neck for a time until I've become bored, at which point I imagine I would dash the shell against a wall or other hard surface until it could be split apart into some pieces enough that I can walk away with a degree of satisfaction.

I would actually say it's because they lack discipline and long term vision.

Discipline because they don't have the ability to do something great without reaping immediate reward for it via premature celebration

Long term vision because they have not realized their primary goal (to win) has not been accomplished yet. Although one could argue 90% of nfl players have no long term goal beyond "make it on the NFL"
