Carr also played behind THE worst offensive line in NFL history, and was hit so many times it's unreal. Keep in mind that was an expansion team too, they were god awful.
He owns the 1st and 3rd most times being sacked in a single season (2002 and 2005) and is the 50th most sacked QB of all time despite only starting for 5 years. It was historically bad.
In those 5 years David Carr was sacked 267 times.
In comparison Peyton manning has been sacked 270 times in 15 years.
