why a TE...

DT is most important than a safety.

I love this mock for the cowboys. I'm not sure WHO the DT is you have us mocked taking in the first, but I'm glad we'd be going after a top DT. Also, my absolute fantasy is that we get jeffcoat in the second...god...almighty...please.

I have a feeling Chip brings in UFA TE Ed Dickson when we let him go. They'll sign him for the vet min and somehow Chip's system will make him what he was in college.

Also, I might be convinced to tank if we were sure to get Watkins. Watkins + Torrey would be a vertical dream team.

It's all going to depend on where you guys end up. If you're in that position, I think you have to go with one of the WRs because the talent is just too good to pass on, although this year is fairly deep with WR talent.

we dont like UW that much rofl

It's more a position, talent/value and need pick all the way for you guys, just so happens Seferian-Jenkins and Kasen were in the right spot at the right time.

Someone you may want to keep an eye on is Martavis Bryant of Clemson.  He's only a Jr, but if he comes out I feel pretty confident he'll go in the 1st three rounds.  He's 6'5", 200 lbs and will probably run a 4.4 or 4.5 at the combine.  He's got some areas he needs to improve on (actually catching the damn ball, work ethic, etc) but his tangibles will have NFL scouts drooling.

Yeah he hasn't declared or even hinted he might yet so I've avoided him thus far. I try to only use guys who are declared or have strongly suggested they'll declare.

You have Antonio Richardson being drafted twice

I know I know, I saw it when I was laying in bed last night on my phone lol.

Because Ebron's value at that point is better than Johnson's. Now while Johnson is very talented, this year is much, MUCH deeper at DT than it is TE. You got yourself a very talented DT in round 2 and a top TE in round 1. Your offense thrives with that 2 TE set, you don't have shit outside of Gronk, have to get that second guy in there.

6-6, 311, pass rush skills that can take over and dominate a game. Sees double teams on a very consistent basis and still can dominate games. Can be slightly inconsistent at times (occasionally playing to the level of his competition) but it doesn't ever seem to last long (plus he's young, he'll get that mental shit down with mentors like Ware and Lee on that defense.

Elaborate on the eew so I can make changes if I'm way off on a team's needs.

Packers OT in the 1st would make me vomit.

Bulaga, Sitton, Lang, and EDS are staples on our line and are going nowhere. Bakhtiari has been very good for a rookie. That leaves us with a solid 6 in Barclay and 2 unknowns coming off injuries in Sherrod and Tretter. Newhouse isn't coming back. That said, if we spend our higher-than-usual 1st on an OT just to compete for a spot, I will be very disappointed.

See, this is like last week with the Browns' fans now lol. One side says one thing, another says another. Someone (Packers' fan) told me that they'd love to see an early OT upgrade. But, it is what it is, I didn't like the pick all that much to be honest. I was planning on giving you guys Beasley (oh good god, Beasley and Clay.....that's scurry) but went with the OT for the aforementioned reasons.

If that had been the case and no OL drafted in these rounds, would have been something like...

Beasley, DE/OLB
Loston, S
Fiedorowicz, TE
Hal, CB

Now, obviously guys may have not been available in that scenario, but just glancing at it, that'd probably be the picks.

EDIT: Put positions in so you don't have to look if you don't know them by last name.

Let's just be blunt here, you guys need so many positions, I just went BPA the whole way. Nix is a top 5 talent, Tuitt is a first rounder, Carey and James are both 3rd rounders. Carey was the only non BPA pick but the BPA at his position and still holding good value.
