nice draft. not sure if we'll wait til our 5th pick to get our ILB though. i would love to get tyler bray but i really doubt we'll draft a qb that early, if at all.

i know we need a NT, but with the way the league is changing into a passing league, i wonder how much PT he'll actually get. may not be worth the 1st pick.

I was torn for the Texans in this mock. I didn't know who to give them. The best WR available was Hopkins or Bailey, neither of which are worthy of that first rounder. As for ILB, I don't think you guys would ever take Te'o and Minter has fallen some for whatever reason. OLB was the next thought and Moore was tempting but I value Hankins much higher than Moore so I went with that. It worked out well though, Hankins, Okafor, Williams, Bray, Mauti and Wagner, all incredible talents for the selections they were made at and fills areas of need so what could I do? lol.

Caldwell has said that we will be a needs drafter early. Then BAP late. I feel we have bigger needs then DT at #2. Pass Rusher or OT is really what makes the most sense in my opinion. Whether we want to go with a real DE, or go with the lighter hybrid Rusher.

RT is a huge need. I'm not a huge fan of drafting a guy to play RT at #2, but it's a great way to help protect a QB if you have a real good LT and RT. Throw in Uche at RG and we'd have 3 of the 5 OL positions locked down. Meester resigned for another year, so unless he just gets outplayed in camps, I'm sure he'll start at C again. He is getting way up there in age though. LG is up in the air at this point.

As usual my friend, what I think should happen, not what I think will. That being said, you guys run a 4-3 no? I think Floyd could be an elite 4-3 end. Don't get me wrong, he's better suited inside but I think he could still be incredible on the outside.

I'm not opposed to you guys taking Fisher at #2 as you alluded to. Doesn't Monroe only have like a year left on his contract anyway? It'd be nice to have Fisher to jump in on the left side if Monroe were to walk.

Well, you don't have to worry because you're not drafting Geno most likely, but you do have to worry because you'll be taking EJ Manuel at some point (my guess is trading into the end of the first round for him).

Chip wanted him badly at Oregon, he fits the system, it is a need and he's going to do everything he can to get him imo.

It's a base 4-3, but will have 3-4 concepts within it. Gus said we will run both, but since our personal is more suited for a 4-3 right now, it will be a 4-3 base. He said as time goes on, we'll add more personal that's suited for the 3-4 and add in more 3-4 looks. He said he likes to use a hybrid of both 4-3 and 3-4, because it makes it that much harder for the Offense to game plan and/or know whats coming. Unlike when you just simply run a 4-3, or 3-4. It makes you game plan for both, instead of just one or the other.

edit: Oh and yes, Monroe is a FA after this season.

Anywhere from 5th to undrafted probably. After no one took even a 7th round gamble on Burfict last year, I wouldn't at all be surprised if everyone passed on Tyrann this year.

OK then I mean, I still like Floyd for you guys but who are we kidding, it'll be Fisher, Jordan or Ziggy.

What Terps said. Reward does not out weight the risk until round 5. He'll be taken before then, but it's not a good idea in my book. I could be super wrong on him but I think undrafted is what he needs. Best example is look at Burfict and Dennard from last year. Both had plenty of red flags prior to the draft. Burfict went undrafted, seemed to be a wake up call to him and has performed well with no notable incidents. Now Dennard, although it was a 7th round pick, he was still drafted when many said he wouldn't be. Seemed to give him a bit of a kick in the ass for awhile as he was playing excellent football but eventually, things fell apart. It's not a major difference, 7th round or undrafted, but it really is a big difference lol.
