Anyone going to the game Thursday? I'd like to see how the new defense plays against Rodgers. Granted, it will be for one drive only, but it should be interesting.

well there goes our season

Well, our defense did really well tonight. Ingram looks really good. The offense was rusty but that's pretty usual for us.

Matthews though....talk about shitty. Fortunately he'll be back by week 3.

Man, I'm really really excited about Ingram. He looks more versatile than Merriman.

On a completely unrelated note....

Phillip Rivers goes to my church now. I saw a pretty tall dude at church and I was like, oh shit that's Rivers. Apparently he's really devout too. His wife wears a veil and his children are dressed in little suits and dresses.

My mom, who is a Eucharistic minister (she hands out the bread and wine) noticed that Rivers skips the wine and only takes the bread in the mouth (as opposed to holding your hand out to receive it). Do you think he's afraid of fumbling the body and blood of Christ?
