Bro, you do realize Fields held the ball more than any QB so far this year right? When Fields has time, that makes him even more dog shit.

Hence the "he can run for his life, which is the primary duty of anyone behind that line". It conveniently aligns with the assumption that I doubt many can do better given the situation. You put just about anyone other than Lamar behind that line, not much improves, but they'll hold onto the ball less, which may help with cherry pickers.

The worst offensive line in football, no one to run the ball, and no one to throw. I think he could do well in the right system, kind of like Josh Allen in his first few years, but the Bears organization is a dumpster fire. I'm not even sure how the bears manage to spend the cap with their roster, it makes no fucking sense.

He took the most sacks out of any college QB in recent history if I recall, the writing was on the wall in the NFL draft that he took 10 years to process reading defenses. He could throw a crazy accurate ball to wide open OSU players but that’s all the awe there was too him

That and his pro day went really well.

He did take a lot of sacks throughout college career, but still performed really well.

The point I'm trying to make is mobile quarterbacks under consistent duress will artificially inflate the stat line, Russ is another example. With a less mobile quarterback, that number will drop in the same circumstance.

I'm not saying this is the entire reason, I have no doubt he's processessing information too slowly, but trying to grow in that environment can't be easy.

Ohio State has a bad track record with QB’s in the NFL

The Bears have a bad track record with drafting and developing QB’s

His production as a traditional QB is quite poor. There’s comments out there where he has some disagreements with the coaching/play callings. I think his Chicago era is coming to a close, and probably even his opportunity to start in the NFL.

In the NFL no doubt, but I will say as a passer he holds a few records with osu. I wouldn’t write him off completely, I think he could do well with a team built around him, like what they’re doing with Lamar/ravens. He’s not going to be a guy you can plug into any system.

Stroud looks okay, I’m also going with some burrow brownie points. But yeah, Braxton Miller was a dud, RIP Haskins, Troy Smith was career back up for the ravens I think (3rd string). What blows my mind is somehow Haskins beat burrow for QB1. Of those names though stroud was the best pocket passer, not including burrow. We also had shotgun that beat bama but he was just a Jamarcus Russell 2.0.

Receivers and defensive ends though, different story.
