Fair enough. These stats surprise me so I looked it up. I guess my impression was based on his playoff run alone. He posted some good stats during that time. I remember being deathly afraid of what he could do to the Bengals in the SB. He started off with some big explosive plays before having that injury.

I think it's a big overpay for someone so far removed from playing the game coming off injury. His efficiency stats were trending downward as well prior to injury, though he did play well in the playoffs as he got acclimated to the Rams' offense.

I would much rather have traded for Hopkins if we're spending money, but that's a commitment that we might not want to make with Lamar's future unknown.

the way the nfl is setup now, yung QBs can start right away, instead of sitting for 3-4 years.

big colleges like bama ohio etc have also prepared their players better then in the past, plus recruiting cheating etc....
