Crashed as fast as it went up. Although it’s quite possible it’ll go up again.

The market in general has tanked, and inflation is weakening the dollar every day. Crypto crashing is no outlier.

It's a 10+ year investment. When you retire you can look back and see whether bitcoin or 10% growth was better for your money.

Multiple users have been pushing it for 5+ years. It's an incredible price right now.

Be that as it may, I would have been pretty disappointed if my investment immediately was worth a fraction of what I bought it at mere months prior. I can invest my money in something better in the meantime, or better yet, let the fiduciary handle everything.

yea my friend and i had my brother talk us into crypto maybe 6-8 months ago. everyone is down 50-60% what we put in but i remember being up 50% in only a matter of months, talk about volatility. but my friend hates it wants to sell and be done meanwhile even if it drops another 50% im drooling over it and buying more for less than i got in at. big picture says you can double/triple your money in a year but why double 100$? my brother has 6k in cardano and it went from 1.16 to 0.46 (now) he’s not even sweating

Bitcoin adoption rate won't hit 10% worldwide until at least 2030, right now it's approximately 1% or less. The most comparable tech we can look at is the internet. The internet usage didn't reach 10% worldwide until after the turn of the century, while in 1995 when the internet boom began there were approximately 45 million internet users worldwide. That accounted for about 1% of the worldwide population, if we round up. The 1995-2001 boom was a period of accelerated growth considering it went from about 1% to 10% worldwide adoption.

As you can see from these infancy stage comparisons, the peak of performance doesn't occur until adoption rate kicks up. Holding onto various cryptocurrencies today will probably make you quite wealthy if you choose those that have real utility cases.
