Ryan is pretty solid. Atlanta hasn’t really had a good defense during his tenure there. I think this is a good trade for both sides plus they got him for cheap

Falcons have one of the worst rosters in the NFL and share the same division as TB. They need to tank, but Ryan prevents them from doing so effectively.

It's a shit situation for Atl either way, but this is the best they can do I guess.
