It was an odd thing to say, not sure what the refs replied with but it does seem weird. I'm more tired of commentators talking Mahomes up like he's got S-tier numbers when in reality his numbers are pretty average this season. He's no doubt really good, this season seems very average. But they talk him up like he's having an mvp season for whatever reason.

216/311 (69.5% which is good tbh)
2200 yds (245 per game)
12 tds
9 int

Not terrible numbers but not great

And I'll be the first to say he's top 3 in the league, could argue for #1, but this season he is well below par for what he's already done in the past. But these talking heads just won't stop kissing his ass lol

i know its become a bit of a meme around here to say how the NFL (refs) love KC but its so obvious that they get "superstar" calls/no-calls all the time. pays dividends to be in commercials for almost every major nfl sponsor.

watch the offensive line during a Mahomes scramble and tell me the refs wouldnt find a holding penalty on most other teams. watch Kelce push off and make a big first down catch and before anyone can say "hey wait a second" the camera cuts to his pop superstar girlfriend cheering from the box.

taking nothing away from mahomes or kelce, they are great players. but they are also marketable stars and they get that michael jordan, tom brady, lebron james treatment from the refs sometimes.

that said, i'm sure they realize this and use it to their advantage.

I believe I saw the stat (which I could be wrong) that they don't have a single offensive holding penalty in the superbowl for the last 3 trips they made there

Friends have asked me if I’d go to Super Bowl if lions made it and I’d honestly be afraid to go if it’s against chiefs lol

As much as I trust Dan to prevail…

I'd go to a superbowl with 2 random ass teams just to say I went to a superbowl 🤣 my issue is the damn ticket prices. Just looked on ticketmaster and for the nose bleeds 650 section it's over 7k per ticket lol just insane
