When you stick handle the puck, do we all agree that there is a moment where the puck is off your stick? I think we should all be able to agree on that
If you look at his stick, you can see that the puck stands on its edge after he pushes it across the blue line, he doesnt have control at that moment, the puck is off his stick meaning that the two players are now on a delayed offside. If he touches the puck while theyre both on delay, its offside.

The reason why this particular play confused so many people is because everything that has to happen for it NOT to be an offside, happened in picture perfect fashion. You just dont see it often enough and it tricks the eye. But if you break it down frame by frame, its a picture perfect delayed offside waived off and the play can go on thereafter because of that.

Probably lucky as it would be next level OP if Makar had THAT level of awareness, but its a good goal when you slow it down, the entry is fine, just looks like offside because of how simultaneously it all happens.

If Oilers fans could read they'd still disagree and be upset.

Throw the rule book out if that isn't possession

Wouldn't mind a series with no rules
