Currently in a 12 team league with my buddies, we gotta pick 4 to keep. I'm keeping Kane, kucherov, can't decide for the last 2. Marky and patches/ehlers/doughty/Karlsson?



My team has been clutching it so far, 5-0 won every week since the start lol. Traded for kucherov and Marky, and I don't have my 2nd rounder. So I'll probably get rekt in next year's draft.

I would not keep Doughty or Karlsson.

Likely they will continue to regress and their big ticket contracts won't leave them very motivated.

Marky I don't like either. Too many hard minutes, injuries and on the bad side of 30. I don't want to sound bitter but I just don't see him having too many good years left.



Ehlers I like. 25 on a team with a strong top six. With Laine gone there is more space on the wings for the top six. He should produce consistently.


The last spot is tough but If I were to chose I would go with Monahan.

Who else do the Flames have at center besides Lindholm? He is young, has remained healthy and is going to be a top six. Furthermore I feel he has had bad puck luck and I expect his numbers to improve.

Your goalies suck but I think Markstrom is the easy choice. Anaheim is injecting some youth but I don't think they'll win a bunch (not that I think Calgary will either)

kane kuch pacio ehlers or maybe lindholm

markstrom is a lower draft position than all those guys above, so it wouldnt be worth it. 12 man league there are a ton of goalies out there.

Not sure about Monahan, I feel like flames plateaued a bit. 80pts was his highest ever. That's probably when godreau went nuts too.





I think I gotta keep Marky til he starts showing signs of decline, right now he has been a beast. I'll probably drop him in the next couple years. For context, Andersen has 83pts despite playing 16 games and having 11 wins. Marky has 80 pts with 1 less games and 3 less wins. goalies are still scarce in my 12 team league as each team has 2 to 3. All the bottom feeders in the league is struggling cuz they don't have a decent starter goalie. There's more forwards/dmen than goalies in the top end of draft too. Each team protects 4 players, so basically top 48 players are taken, and we will be drafting from there. I guess I could risk letting him go and keep ehlers/patches/Lindholm but idk if the position value makes it worth it. Like if markstrom has potential to get me 180+pts, and I pick up just an average goalie good for 80pts, I'm losing 100pts. Whereas I can still draft somewhat equalvalent players as those 3 forwards, where its not a 80pt differential.




Ye McAvoy is another consideration. I basically have no D, traded away Carlson + shit for kuchie haha

You make a good point about goalies. The bottom feeders in my pool are the ones with bad goalies as well.

Not very many true, uncontested number ones out there on decent teams. I sitll feel Marky only has a couple prime years left though. If you are thinking shorter term keeper It is not a bad pick.

Of his 3 Markstrom is the only one worth considering, although he’s on a mediocre team.

Ducks are injecting youth into their roster, it’s probably too soon for them to turn the corner though

Kane, Kuch, Patches, and Markstrom. You should keep a goalie with your league counting 5 goalie cats although I don't understand the negative points for games started? The best fantasy player remaining is Patches and it really isn't close. Your league doesn't count faceoffs so that rules out the flames players. The only other player I would consider is Ehlers, but that is dependent if he gets top powerplay. Patches is top 3 in the league in shots per game.

If goalie starts, they start at negative point and accumulates as they play. It's not like h2h where 1 bad goalie game letting in 1 goal in 3 shots and gets pulled, ur entire week is fucked. Also goalies relieving the started goalie will start at 0 since they have less game time played to accumulate the points
