I agree.
There should have been significant cap consequences for initiating the termination. They got away easy, sans paying a player for decades after he played for them lol.
His contract was terrible, in terms of duration, cap hit, and dollar value.
They saw the incident as a way to rid themselves of a terrible contract and never paid the price in terms of getting hit with a significant cap hit.
The contract was significantly front-loaded as well.
