It's fucking wild that Henderson has a team. I've lived here for the past 17 years and never thought the community could support even a semi-pro team, especially not a hockey team. The new stadium is being build for them in old Henderson which is poised to become a cool off-Strip location for people to check out should things proceed well.

I am ultimately disappointed with the team name. I figure it is kind of lazy and again we passed on a chance to have a cool team name/mascot. Personally, I think the Big Horn Sheep would be awesome. Similarly I felt and still feel the Golden Knights was super fucking bland and irrelevant for the community. The Flamingoes would have been ten times better and would have trolled the whole league hard as fuck by making the Finals in the first year.

Could be worse. It makes sense, "Silver" state, being the Golden Knights' backup. I just found the whole thing super generic.

I used to work as a vendor for the Wranglers at the Orleans casino back in 2008. It was pretty cool but I remember by and large the town was not a hockey town in any respect. Interestingly enough I graduated high school in the same arena that they played their home games on lol.
