Byfield/Stutzle are both centers.

Ottawa could pick 2nd and 3rd, which could cause either of these players to slide.

Personally I am a fan of Alexander Holtz.

He seems to have a very high ability to position himself into good scoring chances and when gets those chances he does not second guess himself. Would not be surprised if he moved up a bit from his projection.

Another interesting aspect in the draft for me is Yaroslav Askarov. He could be a generational goaltender if it all pans out but the risk is high. He is projected to be a possible top 10.

I wonder which team is going to have the guts to try to hit a home run.

Holtz is good pick, I remember reading that he always played against the older guys and dominated the shit out of em. He wouldn't have problems adjusting in ahl or nhl imo

Definitely, i was really hoping the wings ended up with holtz as the season carried on. But as it became more and more apparent that we were absolute dog shit as a team i started to just focus on the top couple guys lmao

This draft is loaded and teams with multiple first round picks have it really good, especially ottawa and the devils having three first rounders with two of them currently in the top 10.

Well, i was more going for draft and prospect discussions, as opposed to rumors, but w/e works lol

I don't think Lafreniere will drop, kid is fucking insane and has the sort of vision and fight in him that just can't be taught. Anyone with the #1 pick would be stupid to pass him up.

Holtz won't be available for the Canucks to pick probably, he already holds his own in the SHL and has a high ceiling as a goal scorer so I doubt he gets picked after #10. Not sure what our situation is going to be like with the recent front office drama, either.
