Some of these fucks deserve to be fired, but at what point is it just too much? Sean Avery up in arms cuz Crawford allegedly kicked him? Get over yourself. Avery was a fuckin pest and now he wants to cry years later because he got handled by the coach? Smdh.

Babs is a class A dick head, and what he did to Marner, and Franzen, and who knows how many others is inexcusable.
Peters using racial slur is inexcusable.
But is every coach going to be put under the microscope and end up getting fired for making a dumb mistake in the past? Im sure they've ALL made some sort of questionable choice or action somewhere down the road.
Maybe not to the extent of Babs, or Peters, or even Crawford, but at what point will it have gone too far?
Tomorrow somebody gonna come out and say their coached yelled at them and hurt their feelings and they want that coach fired from his current team.

Being a coach or manager is going to be extremely difficult now.

Times have changed.

Those once revered for their tactics will soon be shamed for what they have done.

Glen Sather used to wake players up in the middle of night banging pots and pans walking up and down the hotel floor.

This is not discussed much and ive only seen it written in books.

He had that 80's Oilers team fearful of him, yet they respected him at the same time.

He molded a young Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Coffey etc into the dominant players we know them as.

They were scared of him, but he was the first to defend them when anybody else called them out.

Whipping those young guys into shape may have come with some questionable tactics but it worked.



Now options are limited. A coach will have to motivate without any hint of abuse (verbal and physical). If a player challenges a coach he can't rip the guy a new one for stepping out of line.

It will be very difficult to keep a room together. The society we live in now has gone to an extreme imo. Someone can say one bad thing to me at work and I can go to HR and bitch..... does that make it right?

I could get people fired for the things they said to me, which is ridiculous because in years passed much worse has been said to me and nobody would bat an eye. We have gotten too soft imo.

I do not approve of racism, physical abuse or verbal abuse, but what we now define as abuse is too soft in my opinion.

Dont kick players, be racist, or be a total piece of shit like Babs. I dont think thats excessive or soft, just catching up to the standards of every other professional sport on the planet.

Its basically been coaches getting called out for shit they shouldnt do.

When coaches get called out for shit they should do its gone too far. Havent seen that.
