I was hoping to see a highlight of a altercation between these 2 involving dirty hits from behind that left both players questionable for the remainder of their careers. :(

So all you guys would make this trade if someone offers you Matthew Tkachuk for Couture? And why?

Tkachuk got 77 points last year, and is one of the only Flames not sucking right now. Trade is fairly even though, if you need PIMs then Tkachuk of course.

There's no PIMs. Everything except PIMs and faceoffs

This is an interesting one.

Both teams are off to a slow start.

However San Jose has been a bit better recently.

If you want consistency go with Couture.

History dictates he is a 60+ point guy who is unlikely to be injured.

He is the safer pick but Tkachuk has the higher ceiling without question.

Tkachuk coming off a strong 77 point campaign last year.

However odds are he, along with Calgary will regress. Calgary won 50 games last year. It is unlikely they will achieve that again, so you can expect the numbers to come down.

With that being said with the way Tkachuk has been playing he could very well still put up 70+ points as he emerges as a leader on that team.

I think there could be more fluctuation with Tkachuks stats but that comes with the higher ceiling. Couture probably has a lower ceiling but it is easier to predict his output. It all depends on how much of a gambler you are.

I voted Tkachuk because I am more of the if you are not first you are last kind of person in fantasy pools. Finishing middle of the pack won't get you anywhere so you need to take some chances on less proven players who have a higher ceiling imo.
