Recently I bought a laptop and an hdmi cord to run through my tv so I can watch hockey.

The connection works but is super laggy.

On my computer there is a lot less lag.

Both systems are wireless.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Laptop has 20k ram is running on an SSD but has an onboard intel graphics card.

hdmi cable is about 5 feet in length.

Tv is a newer smart tv.

Any ideas on what the most likely cause is? Thanks for advice.

Ya. I am thinking that.

I disconnected from the tv and the laptop lagged running youtube videos....

It is going back. I spent $200 on it hoping for a cheap fix to easily watch hockey without cable.

Not so lucky with it...

Or try finding and old xbox or playstation used near you. Just use it to browse the internet and find your stream. I use my xbox to stream the games.

Try finding feeds that allow you to change the kbps, I find 1450kbps pretty smooth.
