Wonder of all these huge lockout proof contracts played a role in this. Owners would have been hurting.

Delaying the inevitable for three years.

Hate to be cynical. I just feel with the way both sides are exploiting the cap something will have to change.

This change will be fairly drastic and we have seen how stubborn both sides are to budge.

The players would be foolish to threaten strike action at this point anyways.

They would be better served to wait because overall revenue should continue to rise.

At that point they can demand more.
