Tough one to call but I went with the Blues in 7.
It could go either way. When teams are evenly matched it comes down to goaltending.
Both teams have gotten solid goaltending. It will be interesting in this regard. Bishop has had injury troubles but comes in with great numbers from his first series. He looks great in there right now.
Binnington comes in with lesser numbers, but much of this comes from a single game blemish which he responded well from afterwards. It is assuring to see a relatively inexperienced goaltender show that he can put a bad game behind him and come out stronger.
I feel St Louis is better equipped to deal with the offensively active Dallas D-Men and can do a better job locking down their first line than the Preds if they get the matchups right.
This is why I think they have a bit of an edge in this matchup - albeit a razor thin one.
generally the blues match up well with a team that relies heavily on one line for scoring, but teams with goalies who are great at moving pucks hurt us (nashville with rinne/bishop/etc). dallas plays so good with a lead, my biggest factor will be special teams. feels like a coinflip of a series.
and jamie benn pisses me off so much. dude is a douche to us while also elevating his game, kind of like schieffele.
