I think this goes along the lines with the mike sullivan change the pens did. inject some youth and get rid of the same message possible not getting through to the younger players that are joining the ranks. not saying that this goes the way it did for pens but I think this is a good move. sucks he took the fall for scotty bowman's GM moves that haven't worked out.

Interesting it happened the game after Q made a big mistake in Calgary. He had nobody in the box for a 5 minute penalty, so when it ended the Flames got an extra 2 minutes because they couldn’t put anyone out there. The CBC panel were giving him a hard time for that.



Might as well have done it after last season though IMO.
