domi jumps ekblad and starts punching him even though ekblad obviously doesnt want to fight and really doesnt have a reason too
only gets suspended for the rest of the preseason for this... that should be like atleast 10 games into the reg season imo thats dirty as fuck

if ekblad injured a guy and domi jumped him and he doesnt defend himself whatever but its a preseason guy he doesnt want to risk injury in a pointless game and domi just starts wailing on him over nothing...thats fucking ridiculous

The reason there's no reg season games, and I heard this on nhl radio this morning, is the nhl's collective bargaining agreement they use doesn't differentiate between regular season and preseason. As stupid as it sounds, they view them as the same thing.

So in their eyes it's like domi was suspended for 4 games or whatever left, even though it's just preseason and domi's prob thinking they did him a favor.

Suspended for preseason so nobody gives a fuck.

Yeah, the guy is clearly trying to have a go with you. Just tie him up fall down and you 'win' the fight, gain a little cred with the boys, and not look like a bitch infront of everyone.

usually if a player doesnt want to fight they skate away and find somebody who does
the only time ive ever seen a player not want to fight and get jumped is after a big hit that was questionable or on a big star but at this point players almost expect it and defend themselves

again its a preseason game and if hes not a fighter he might brake his hand or something get a broken cheek bone have to wear a visor ect ect in reg season none of those are risks worth taking in a preseason game for him
