The reviews seem mostly positive, and the price very attractive...80 bux shipped to my door for a 250+ $ stick? hmm value?

Give it a shot I guess. It’ll be weak in the area it snapped and obv won’t be the same

yea I really am close to order. They even sell 2 packs of super tacks for 100$..

Wont be the same as the original, the way a stick is weaved is quite important

If ur 180+lb and a good player you will probably notice in ur shot

if not, its probably a great deal but with the obvious risk.



ive heard they are actually super strong in the area they broke

but the cf weave is completely thrown off, so its not really a true 1 piece anymore

yea...trying to figure whats better between buying an high end refurb (with the risk of it being poorly repaired, and the loss in performance), or getting a sub 100 stick brand new. since its for ball hockey...

What the hell kind of league are you playing in where you can just come in with 1 special stick. The ball hockey leagues I played in involved a lot of hacking and whacking. You go through a few sticks fast

yea, hence why I'm trying to find cheap alternatives

ive even tried the new sticks made for deck hockey, with the reinforced blade (the bottom part, 1 inch wide) but after a few games that reinforced part separates from the rest of the blade and your stick is useless. and most of these are very heavy...

they still make the koho paul coffey 5030 which is my favorite for screwing around

and my local place usually has 2 for 80-100 deals for decent twigs

You mean Sherwood 5030? Do you even hockey?

So my concern isn't actually the stick performance due to the fixing.
It's that the "Bauer Kane 87 flex griptac" as an example won't perform like a store bought Bauer Kane because of the pro stock tweaks.

It sounds like many of these are made from pro stock sticks.
That means, even if they were never broke, they could feel much different than a store bought pattern.
Pro stock sticks get allllllll kinds of customization for each little weirdo pro player. Little more weight here, little shaven down there, you get it.

So that would be my only concern. I'm sure the stick performance is predictable as far as simply fixing it. I mean if they were That bad, they wouldn't be selling any.
But don't be surprised when your Nexus has some funny feelings to it. Could be because some pro in Guelph once upon a time had Bauer experiment something for him
