Odd trade to me. I don't think Mrazek is much of an upgrade on what Philly already has in net (unless Elliot and Neuvirth are both going to be injured for a while). And from Detroit's view the price seems low considering Philly could trade Mrazeks rights in the offseason for probably exactly what they just gave up. I guess time will tell
If this is all it took to get Mrazek and Garth snow stands pat with his goalies then he's fucked
"This is a sign that our players have done a really good job," Hextall said. "They've worked extremely hard. We're in a tough situation - you lose your top two goalies when you're fighting for a playoff spot, and our players have worked hard for a long time now, and I didn't feel like it was fair to not have a proven NHL goaltender for this team. That's the reason we acted. Our focus right now is to make the playoffs, and if we make the playoffs, then we’ll go from there."
from phillys side. It's all about untimely injuries unfortunately.
I thought mrazek could of already fetched a 2nd. so weird on Detroit's part. but more draft picks = more moves you can do
