bmac: VAN and pending UFA D Erik Gudbranson are on track to conclude a multi-year contract extension sometime this week, perhaps as early as today. I discussed yesterday what it might look like:
Whatever the deal is, has to be enough term and AAV for Gudbranson to want to forgo UFA. He’s making $3.5M now, so will be looking for some type of raise, no doubt. Three years with an AAV that starts with a 4 or thereabaouts, give or take a 200K? That would be my best guess.

We have none that project to be impact players. Juolevi is our best one and he's tracking to be a solid 2nd pairing guy lol. That said, if somehow the Canucks did trade for Karlsson, he would likely be one of the pieces going back.

Suffice to say, the Canucks desperately need Dahlin We have decent forward and goalie prospect depth now, could really use an impact D-man. Haven't had one in the 45~ year franchise history lol.
