kinda crazy though, trading just a top 5 pick for PK lol

well i doubt tkachuk would be the same if he was with lolnucks, willie woulda buried his ass or knowing lolvancouver media, they'd prolly be like cocky lil kid w/ attitude, disrepkt sedins, hodgson v2 inc. & run him out of town
juolevi is decent, ill be happy if he can become close to hamhuis jaja lolnucks defense is so shit, so it's nice to have juolevi there

Flames were deep into that 3 way trade with Oilers and Jackets to move up to 3rd. To draft Tkachuk with it. B)

benning ruined it for all of us,
i forgot the story back then, but it was the along the lines of fucking up and exposed his intention, so the other teams didnt trade cos they were gonna get their pick anyway.

hey saw dubois as a franchise #1 center, something that habs DISO for so long, plus he is form here, it would have been a dream come true

prospect to be home town/province franchise #1 center for subban would have been a good trade

well ya, but you don't normally see a proven young franchise defenseman going for a top 5 pick, for a potential/unproven prospect. Especially when Matthews/Laine coulda been an option as well.

i'd be down for karlsson or doughty though for a 5oa pick, no matter how deep the draft is this year jajaja
except they're FA soon if not signed, whereas PK was alrdy signed long term.

yeah pk was just starting his contract, but like you said there was some issues between him and team/coach/gm

that trade would have been better for us than the subban weber trade

CBJ's GM I think tipped his hand last minute that he wanted Dubois, when everyone thought it was Puljujarvi who was going to go 3rd. Then it was no secret that Van wanted a D man only, and so the Flames pulled out of the deal when they realized they were going to get their guy at 6th anyway. Meanwhile CBJ could have traded down to 4 and get their man, Flames would have traded up from 6 to 3 to get Tkachuk who they got anyway, and Edmonton would have ended up with Puljujarvi at 6 anyway. CBJ raped themselves pretty good cause that Suomi GM doesn't have a poker face.
