more to play and better than d2 for sure

by time al lthe expansinos are out itll prob be worth playing but by then itll be so dead...
and i wouldnt exactly say "they" it was jay wilson that dude fucked d3 right from the start he got taken off lead guy n d3 has only gotten better

Any chance Blizzard actually wants people to quit D3 so they can supporting it? There's not much money in it now for them.

Heh funny but no way. There's no money in d2 for them but they want to keep people around for ads, etc. Plus, expansions are cheap and this game already has players (sorta). Going to see one more expansion with gear inflation again.

Well they don't really support D2 much other than keeping the servers up and resetting ladder once a year (pushing the big red button). That game obviously has been able to keep people interested without Blizzard having to touch it.


D3 on the other hand, can't hold most players for more than a couple months and the forums are just full of constant rage. They keep trying to change and add things but nothing has worked. I assume they pay a team to work on it daily along with the forum mods.

They probably wonder if it's worth risking the time/money/effort in trying to fix a game that may never work. There's a chance they figure it out, people come back for good and they sell a lot of expansions... but there's also a good chance they can't fix it and it turns out they just wasted tons of resources over many years.

By the way d3 is going it really can't cost them much at all. One guy throws up a ptr for three months then they go live with bugs and exploits everywhere. But seriously though, it would be an epic public relations nightmare if they killed they game. Ain't happening. Plus they sold a billion copies of the game and expansion, it's definetly profitable.

Should have just continued releasing expansions for D2.

I guess I can't argue with that.



Wonder how many people would have come back for a modern D2 compared to how many people bought D3.

I definitely would have bought a newer, more polished and better supported version of D2. Only reason I quit was 'cause of PVP hackers.
