Wonder if they weren't making much money anymore with the AH, or at least it was trending way down to the point where they thought it might be better to try to save the game and get more players to come back. That way they can sell more expansions and maybe bring the AH back later when the game had a strong base.

Obviously nothing has been fixed yet. They'll add a new thing here and there to keep people coming back but everyone leaves after a month or two. It's just sad going through my friends list, everyone has quit :(

I keep coming back once in a while, like a lot of other people, but I've already quit like 6 times and I probably will again very soon lol.


they kept a certain % of every real money auction how would they not have made money? they even kept a % of gold that they prob recycled into the system by selling gold for $$
the auction house was a great idea it caused problems though like the ah duping that drove the economy into the ground causing people to complain and blizz took it out cuz its what "the people wanted"
and look at ROS there was proof that the expansion shit and a bunch of stuff they added was already in the game just waiting to be unlocked hell it got to the point before i had ros ros was installed on my pc id start up d3 classic n it said ROS

What I mean is maybe too many people were quitting and they weren't making much money anymore, so they decided they would try to fix the game and get more players back. In other words, make more money later when more people were playing again.

Nice. Ya I remeber playing with you, was a sick monk. I haven't played in two months or so regularly, used to do 35 with my wiz solo, but I guess that sucks now hah.

35 solo was pretty good then but it looks like people have gotten much stronger since we last played :P


Don't even know if I should play now, pretty much starting from scratch. llol

This lol, Id start playing again if i had a crew together, but i have started playing WoW again with my IRL buddies and its way more fun. Pay per month is annoying but what ever, it's easily 15$a month better than D3 lol

play on a free server :P
i play on a private server 20x rate with 5x prof rate but only do pretty much pure pvp
they got lower rates if you want too :P

I got RL buddies been on Arthas for YEARS so i just joined them, i used to play with them back when Wow first came out.

Only been playing since september but blizz gave me a month and a bit free (when they were trying to sucker people back for WoD, which worked on me)

Didn't get oct or early november until i had a bit of free time and the expansion was out.

I dont mind paying 15$/ month as long as i am actually going to make good use of it.

I dont Pvp much yet but that what my buddies are all about, gonna start up with them soon.

e/ plus im lvl 100 and 650ish in tailoring, enchanting fishing and cooking so would wanna move :P
