Well, its really hard to say tbh. The situation is this: while i like AA, he really has to work on his 200 foot game. He is just Okay in his own zone, and like ~80% of his offensive production is generated off the rush, he has to get better at sustained offensive pressure, not just scoring on fast breaks. That is where his precieved value comes into play, he (and his camp) seem to believe he is worth more money than he actually is, because he is fast and makes the flashy plays and occasionally embarasses defenders, but in reality if he wants the big bucks he has to work on his 200ft game. Until then in my opinion he will be worth no more than 2m/yr. Of course each team will have their own evaluation of what he might be worth, but the way i look at it is he is holding out based on the percieved notion he is better than he actually is.
/e There has been no report of the $ figures offered to him by Detroit or the russian team, but apparently he has declined the Red Wings offers, based on the fact he thinks he deserves more.
His feet are faster than his brain it's pretty common knowledge, but teams these days are valuing speed above everything else a lot of the time.
I can see him getting 3.5, obviously not in Detroit, I'm very surprised nobody has tried something yet, I'm sure there has been some interest though
He would be a perfect Senator because our entire team basically creates everything off the rush lol
