e/ ah ya they keep the 2.5mil cap hit but then melynk saves $$$$ and pays 1.6mil over 2 years.

I read somewhere that we save around 800k per year iirc. But you have to replace him with someone so in the end we won't save much money, if any. Burrows just sucks, it was not a financial move for once.

yeah lol he's basically making room for tkachuk or some of ur young guys ready to play and 800k is a lot, he can offer EK like whatever he wants + 800k on top man

Well you have to account for the player replacing Burrows in the lineup so the 800k we save is actually used on that player. And yeah not sure if Tkachuk will make the team or what. I hope we don't rush him.

Because a bunch of people are boycotting the Sens until Melnyk sells. Even with a new arena I'm not sure if it will sell out.

The new arena is also not going to be ready for another 5-6 years I imagine ? If he's broke maybe he can't afford to run to team for that long ?

There's also talks that the negociation with the NCC is not going too well.
