Niklas Backstrom is projected to stay off the ice for a few days because of "a nagging lower-body injury."He didn't skate Monday and was busy receiving another cortisone injection for the ailment. Backstrom admitted he played the final month of the lockout-shortened season with a "tear in the core muscle" and he believes his current abdominal stiffness is related to that. Im doing pretty well in my office salary cap pool... considering Im tied for first with backstrom as my low budget goalie.. ill def reconsider goalie next year.
