run away, run away and never look back

the prone case was dealt with, we all agree on prone minus a few

im not sure if by your posts you misunderstand us, the actives dont NEED a med to hold the fg, they are completely capable of betting themselves or asking for u/f or whatever, we just as that they don't offer to med other bets or med for games, they are open to host games and any med is available to hold the fg though

I just think there is something fundamentally wrong if an "Active" user mediates an event, and gets his tag removed, even if the event went smooth as a baby's bottom and everyone gets their respective winnings promptly.

The community knows who to trust. We both know many of the actives are practically trusted in the eyes of the community.

I guess as long as everyone strictly agrees that ONLY meds can hold fg then theres no problems. I just think an active should have some more leeway.

I understand the rules are in place to minimize welching, but this seems a bit odd to me.

We are fixing whatever that typed up list of rules was and releasing a new version. Actives don't always lose their tags for that type of a deal but it's not hard to ask to be sure because some games are 100k plus might not trust to an active etc

Of course. In that type of situation, I would want my fg in the hands of a mediator :D

I see where you are coming from but i dont think the solution is removing the rule
instead the solution is promoting more people to trusted. if you have that level of trust you should get the appropriate tag.

for example i have a active Nba/nfl/mlb tag, but i think some bball users would likely feel uncomfortable sending to me if i walked in and wanted to hold a Bilnd odds.

even though i am trust worthy enough to not be complained about it creates unnecessary risk (be it perceived or real)
and could discourage participation.

The people who are exceptions should just be given trusted tags so that we dont make exceptions to our rules.

That's why actives can help host games but get permission depending on the game, FG, and also to be sure a mediator isn't already planning on hosting it (if they are we often let an active try depending on the first 2 items addressed)

Read my previous post to answer that actives vs trusted on level of trust we would allow - depends on a lot of things. No actives ever ask to host a game lol I did all the time

we have given certain active users special permission to hold fg for games and stuff but its not generally available to any active, as lets be honest there are definitely actives with varying degree of trust

but another thing it comes down to is trying to be uniform in the rules, as much as some actives are "more trusted" than others we try andkeep everyone on the same playing field, so if that means restricting all actives then so be it

pretty much any rule we have in place only came about when something of that sort happened, so we had some actives who were holding fg and running off with it, we put those rules in place and it stopped happening

the removal from the list is really because what other punishment can we do, nothing really...so if someone cares enough about the list itll keep them within the rules
