Your right about pitlick although I'm not convinced vegas would take letestu even if exposed, he's 32 and aproaching Hendricks / Ferance territory imo. Vegas is going to try snag younger guys that look to be ready to step in and contribute (pitlick / rienhart)
Over all losing kassian and eberle to gain hamonic is a net loss imo , a big one.
Hence why I said nothing happening before draft.

Losing the wrecking ball which is kassian would be a blow. I agree.
But look at this.

Defenseman A: 23mins a night, 2.1% CFR, .4 hits, 1 block, .51ppg, 3 giveaways per takeaway
Defenseman B: 22mins a night, 2 hits, 2.2 blocks, about even on takeaways and giveaways, 2.1% CFR, .37ppg
Defenseman C: 20mins a night, 1 hit, 2.2 blocks, 2 to 1 on giveaways to takeaways, -5.7% CFR, .29ppg

which defender you prefer from that group

Il tell you who's who after.

Someone who doesn't understand analytics would say that.

Probably B
Forgeting most important stat in today's NHL cap hit per year
#1 is Barrie I assume 3 is hamonic.
I see our biggest need on def as a rh shot who can point the pp, not to big on Barrie either really he's to pricey for what he brings.

Losing Kassian would be huge loss.

I'm not that concerned with our defense atm. Sekara out for 2/3 of season is a concern but for the first time we actually have 7/8 depth that can step in and not be noticed which is good.

Yes. And b is chad Johnson. He's more expensive, older, not as rebuild-friendly. Having said that for the Oilers, he would give us a player with legitimate size next to Sekera, 1PP offensive ability, and the ability to eat minutes.

Do you mean Erik Johnson?
that's a big no, taking on that contract would be a horrible mistake.

Heard again today Leafs are going to make a move at Methot once Vegas picks him, unless they find another cheaper D

Yea I mean Eric Johnson. Oops.
Why A big mistake. You literally just picked him over Barrie and hamonic. Lol

Barrie: $5.5mil, 25 years old, 5'10 190lbs, 3% CFR and .57ppg for his career
Johnson: $6mil, 29 years old, 6'4 225lbs, 1.8% CFR and .41ppg for his career

Like. You worried about 500k?
