Calgary already has 3 goalies in their system that meet the requirement. They just have to be signed, no games played minimum requirement like forwards or D-men.

Bob says Stepan's name is being thrown around because his NTC will kick in July 1. Rangers might look to trade him before that.

 when a team decides they made a mistake giving a player a NTC

They like Stepan, it's just an opportunity to get younger, like the Brassard/Zibanejad trade last year.

Yeah but they already have goalies signed that have been in the AHL for over 2 years.

I swear if I hear the word dynamic again when someone talking head is describing what a player brings to the table or why he's better than another player...

Dynamic is a buzzword. Like "leveraged situation" in baseball.

Can we infer what it means? Yes, I guess? But not specifically.
It's just used as a filler for lack of real description and analysis.

/Rant... I think. No I'm not done.

In short, when you say someone is fast, everyone knows what that means. It's not up for debate.

When you say someone is dynamic, what that means can be interpreted 10 different ways. What it means is you can't tell me why this player is good using finite measurable analysis.

It sounds good on TV, I get it. But it's so used up now. Makes you sound like Melrose.

Hear that avs and isles are front runners for eberle.

Isles have to pick between de Haan or hamonic to protect.

Soo. Sounds like oilers getting Barrie or hamonic B)

Lebrun tweeted:
Doughty two years from UFA. Ok I'm going to drop the mic now and walk away.
Doughty on Leafs Lunch TSN radio today:
"I think all of us southern Ontario players secretly want to play for the leafs, we all kind of have that soft spot. "

I paraphrased a bit.

We ain't trading for anything before expansion draft so the nyi deal doesn't make sense.
If we traded for harmonic tomorrow we'd have to expose him.
Unless you wanna expose Larson or kleftbom.
