He doesn't have a NTC

Or wait does he actually, he's getting moved anyway vegas should flip him

Vegas picking him and flipping him seems quite likely.

Hischier is ranked #1 now pretty sure

Haven't looked at the rankings in a while honestly, but I would be suprised if Nolan doesn't get drafted first.

Every year it's the same, at the end of the year people start to say x prospect might get drafted first over the guy who's been #1 all year long. Happened with Laine and Matthews last year, happened with Seguin and Hall, Tavares and Hedman/Duchene, etc..

I'll believe when I see it

Patrick's injurys combined with Hischier's strong wjhc and season in general make it a toss up. Being a hum-ho kinda draft with neither player a lock or even likely to stick in the NHL next year means the fact that Nolan is probably closer to nhl ready < nico's higher offensive upside potential.
I'd guess the Swiss kid goes #1

patrick is stilll likely #1 theres a few mock drafts that say hischier first but its mostly not from anybody of important like general scouting bmack c button etc etc
i think its mostly just those tv sports analysts saying hischier #1 trying to keep it interesting

also this draft is weak in a sense but the 1-2 picks are both pretty damn good players its just not as deep for the picks like 5+ from what ive read

From what I've seen from both players, Hischier would be better for the Devils. He has tremendous upside but is no guarantee, of course.

Well, RIP Methot I guess.

Last rumours I heard prior to Dion confirming his stance on waiving, was that Toronto was going to make a deal with Vegas to get Methot from them

Not sure how reliable that one is but it would make sense

I'm really high on Claesson right now, and Chabot is coming up. I'd still rather lose Ceci but can't really give up that 7 year age difference I guess

I wonder what it could cost us to make Vegas take Dzingel or someone else over Methot/Ceci.. Might be worth it. We finally had a respectable top 4 for the first time since I can remember and now we'll be back to missing a top 4 defs :( Hopefully Chabot develop nicely.
