So from my understanding this NHL draft class is not the strongest, and the Devils will be drafting Nico Hischier with the 1st pick. Anyone have any solid information/scouting on this guy? Although it is a weak draft class, what do they say about him?

Hischier is pretty good.

Him and Patrick Nolan are good prospects and will go 1-2. They are not McDavid or Matthews type of prospects but they should still be elite player with a little bit of luck and if they're developed correctly.

Where did you see that the Devils were gonna take Hischier btw ? I think it's more likely they go with Nolan who's been talked about as the #1 since last year.

Every mock draft that I've looked at and a few Devils blogs seem to be leaning Hischier over Nolan. You don't think it's that locked in yet?

Hischier is ranked #1 now pretty sure

I do agree that I think the Pens will likely trade Fleury before the expansion draft. While they wont get much, getting something back for an asset is key to continual success

He waived his NMC , he also has a NTC but players with ntc are not automatically protected so he does have that power.
