That is true! I like to watch them of course so I don't mind.

i think i would prefer a powerplay if i was the team getting the call. But im sure its all part of the nhl's effort to increase scoring.
I have nothing against penalty shots in principle, and i get that this is all a business etc. but i kinda hate that they keep altering the game to increase scoring just to increase viewership among casual viewers.
Theres nothing wrong with a low scoring defensive game, if casuals cant appreciate that then maybe hockey isnt the sport for them.
